Dr Haidary graduated with his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1996, achieving fellowship with the Faculty of Rehabilitation under the Royal College of Physicians in 2013. Dr Haidary received his Masters of Medicine in Perioperative Care from Monash University in 2023 and a Diploma in Perioperative Medicine from the College of Anaesthetists.

As a specialist physician, Dr Haidary has worked extensively in prehabilitation, perioperative medicine and rehabilitation, with specific interest in the perioperative medical care of orthopaedic and general surgical patients. He has been involved with perioperative care of patients since 2015.
